The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is perhaps the most famous poker tournament worldwide. It’s held once a year in Las Vegas and is aired on television. The WSOP is now available online. This is an excellent source of entertainment for all Navy recruits and recruiters–well, anyone for that matter. As a Navy recruit, you need some downtime and WSOP may be your next fun thing.
The website features several different categories about the WSOP, including a schedule of events; news and information; education, lessons, strategies, and rules about poker; a blog; and other information about the WSOP. Visitors to the site can connect with it further through Facebook, Twitter, and Feeds. You can also play online poker through the site. Just download the game, sign up for an account, place your bets, and play. You can win real money by playing online, and there are incentives for new players, such as bonus games. The WSOP also has a newsletter you can sign up to receive.
In addition to news and events relating to the WSOP, the website has a “poker education” category. Here, you will find several different postings about anything related to learning how to play poker, strategies for playing, how to determine if your playing is getting out of hand, how to manage your winnings, and news relating to famous poker players.
